Aerobics Exercise

Exercise is without a doubt, one of the easiest ways of enhancing your physical health and improving your mental capabilities. This also includes decreasing your risk for health problems, boosting energy levels and mood, relieving stress and helping with anxiety or depression. Making exercise a part of your daily life is crucial to good health. There are many different forms of exercise which are equally popular across the world and one of them is Aerobic Exercise.


What is Aerobic Exercise?

The term Aerobic literally means “with oxygen” and refers to the use of oxygen to meet the need of energy during exercise. Aerobic exercises provide cardiovascular conditioning and according to many health experts, 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week is crucial for good heart health. Such an exercise comprises different intensity workouts for a long period of time that maintain a high and steady heart rate. In such a way, oxygen is used to burn body fats and glucose.

Generally, aerobic exercise is performed at a high level of intensity for a greater extent of time in order to keep a high heart rate to maximize fat burning. The heart rate increases directly in correlation to the intensity of the workout. Running a long distance at a steady pace is an aerobic exercise whereas sprinting is not. Swimming, cycling, rowing, jumping rope, running and performing high impact routine workouts are all aerobics exercises. 


What it does to your health

No matter what your age, height, weight or physical ability is, aerobic activity is right for you. It has a wide range of health benefits and with consistency, your body becomes stronger and you can enjoy your life to the fullest. It has been well researched that aerobic exercise can help you:


  1. Maintain a healthy weight if combined with a healthy diet.
  2. Enhance your stamina, strength and keep you fit. Initially you might feel tired and fatigued but with time, you will have more stamina and better heart & lungs health. 
  3. Keep you away from viral illnesses as it activates your immune system. 
  4. Reduce the risk of many conditions for example obesity, high blood pressure, stroke, heart disease,osteoporosis and even some types of cancer. 
  5. Make your heart stronger and improve blood flow to all the parts of the body.
  6. Keep your blood vessels clear and reduce the risk of cholesterol issues.
  7. Enhance your mood and reduce stress. It can also help you sleep better.
  8. Stay active as you age.
  9. Slow down the aging process and make you feel and look fresh at the same time.
  10. Live longer than people with sedentary lifestyles and allow you to live a more active lifestyle.
